MS

A no-maintenance leather for the user looking for value.

This is a chrome-tanned leather known as half grain. The grain surface is lightly buffed to remove natural marks, while retaining a subtle natural texture, preserving the character of the leather. It is soft and adapts easily to the body, making it prone to stretching and creasing. The polyurethane-coated surface requires minimal maintenance and is resistant to soiling.

  • Ageing

With use, the surface of the leather becomes smoother and develops a natural sheen. As it is pigment-finished, it is more resistant to surface scratches than typical upholstery leather.Over many years of use, and with exposure to ultraviolet light, the material may gradually deteriorate and eventually develop cracking.

  • How to Care

    【Pigmented Leather】
As the surface is protected by a urethane coating, routine care is simple—light dusting with a dry cloth once a week is usually sufficient. If marks from handling appear, wipe the surface with a towel dampened with lukewarm water. Afterwards, wipe it again with a dry cloth to remove any remaining moisture.

    【Regarding Leather Creams】
Because the leather is protected by a surface coating, maintenance products such as creams will not be absorbed. Depending on the formulation, some creams may be incompatible and could degrade the coating, so their use is generally not recommended. The same applies to cleaners. Certain types may contain solvents or abrasives; while they may make the surface appear clean, they can damage the coating and reduce its durability, and are therefore not advised.
